Northwest Pediatric Therapy is dedicated to doing all we can to ensure the safety of our patients, families, therapists, and staff during the COVID-19 crisis.
Prior to the (physical) closing of our clinic and us doing teletherapy only, we had implemented strict measures at our clinic to adhere to social distancing and reduce the risk of infection. These included:
--Therapists met the child outside to reduce social gathering in our waiting areas.
--Each therapist took their child's temperature and their own temperature during every session.
--Therapists washed their hands and the child's hands at the beginning of every session.
--Our gyms were closed so that the children/therapists did not gather together.
--Sessions were completed one-on-one in individual therapy rooms.
--Every therapy room was disinfected after a session.
--Every frequently touched surface in the clinic was disinfected throughout the day.
With the continued rise of COVID-19 cases in Arkansas, we have decided that it is best for our patients, families, therapists, and staff to CONTINUE to conduct therapy sessions via Teletherapy until it is safe to reopen our NWPT clinic. We are hoping to reopen our clinic in late May/early June, and we will be letting our patients and families know soon when this will occur.
When we reopen the clinic, the above guidelines will still apply to further ensure the safety and wellness of all those at Northwest Pediatric Therapy. Further safety protocols will also be developed and will be shared at a later time. During the next few weeks, we will be doing a deep cleaning of all surfaces and toys as well as purchasing PPE that will further protect our patients and employees.
If you have any questions regarding the reopening of our clinic, please contact Mrs. Lynn. Stay safe and well!
We miss seeing you and can't wait to play TOGETHER soon!
