NWPT's COVID Wellness Policy

Northwest Pediatric Therapy is dedicated to doing all we can to ensure the safety of our patients, families, therapists, and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the start of the pandemic, we immediately implemented strict measures at our clinic to adhere to social distancing and reduce the risk of infection. Since then, we have continued to promote safety and wellness by:

-Therapists continue met the children outside to reduce social gathering in our waiting areas.

-Therapists wash their hands and the child's hands at the beginning of every session.

-Our gyms are open but limited use and limited socialization between children.

-Sessions are completed one-on-one in individual therapy rooms.

-Therapy rooms are frequently disinfected.

-Masks continue to be worn by all therapists, staff, and any adult entering our clinic.

-Children above the age of 2 are encouraged (but not required) to wear masks.

Please note that if your child or a family member who lives in the home has COVID, we will require that the child not return to in-person therapy for 10 days following the start of symptoms.  Although the CDC now recommends 5 days of isolation and then 5 days of wearing masks, because many of our children will not wear masks and are unvaccinated, we are still adhering to the 10 days.  Should your child be exposed by someone who does not live in the home, if they test negative 5 days after exposure and are symptom free, they may return to in-person therapy.  Teletherapy for COVID related issues are permissable during time your child is not able to have in-person services.

If you have any questions regarding how we are keeping our patients, families, staff, and therapists safe during this unprecedented time, please contact us at (479) 521-7337.
